A place for peace?
Peace is a complicated concept when you are living life after loss. It is difficult if not impossible to attain true peace about living this life without the baby you so loved and wanted here with you. Admitting peace can feel like disregarding the pain you feel and therefore the life you created and then lost. And that can feel like a betrayal.
Through her thoughtful words, Jennifer showed us how moments of peace can coincide with a strong remembrance of and love for our babies, without the need to leave them behind or be “okay.” It has been said that grief is love with nowhere to go, so by sitting peacefully with that grief, we dwell in the overwhelming love we have for our children. And that is a beautiful thing.
A physical connection
By connecting inward and bringing our attention to our physical bodies, we may also be connecting physically with our babies the only way we know how.
