Please join us for our Fall quarterly event for grieving parents – a cookout on Saturday, September 15th at Thompson North Shelter in Upper Arlington (address below). Our Mother’s Day event was such a special time that we received a lot of requests for a Father’s Day event. Unfortunately, there were scheduling challenges and that didn’t happen, but as promised, our fall event is going to be dedicated to our incredible grieving dads! We’ll have meat to grill and some games to enjoy. It will be a great time to connect with other bereaved parents and appreciate the dads that have grieved with us and supported us.
Please remember that our quarterly events are for grieving parents only. We are working to incorporate more events (like the Mother’s Day event) that include other family members for those who enjoy the larger group, but we grieving parents share a unique bond and we want to carve out time to just be together with those who “get it” the most. The idea behind our quarterly events is to have an informal gathering where grieving parents can engage in some activity together, and have conversations as they wish, without the structure of a support group or pressure to formally share our stories. Please note that our events are not support groups and we do not have any licensed counselors present. If you’re interested in something more formal with a professional present, please check out our resource page.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org (or submit this contact form) to let us know if you plan to attend! If you have not attended one of our events before, please share what details you are comfortable about the baby you lost. We respectfully ask for this information to ensure the integrity of the event by verifying that only grieving parents are attending. As always, there is no cost for our quarterly events.
